Hudson County Prosecutor's Office Homicide Unit is actively investigating an overnight shooting that killed a 19-year-old in West New York.
According to reports, the 19-year-old, male was shot from behind by another male as he tried to open the door to the building located on the 400 block of 53rd Street, around 12:15 a.m.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office has not released any details, other than this is an ongoing investigation.
However according to police, no arrests have yet been made.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
