Wayne Traffic Stop Ends in Arrest of Three for CDS

A traffic stop in Wayne had officers take three people into custody and confiscate dozens of bags of heroin and other controlled dangerous substances.

Wayne police reportedly stopped a vehicle shortly before 3:30 on Sunday near the Kohls that's at the Pequannock Township border.

During their investigation, officers said they spotted drug paraphernalia and a torn glassine bag containing suspected heroin.

A further search of the vehicle had police find 44 glassine bags of suspected heroin stamped Wayne authorities said.

The officers said they also found crack cocaine and a folding knife, according to Martin.

The driver of the vehicle, Markella I. Strongilos, 26, of Sparta, was charged with possession of cocaine and heroin and issued a summons for possession of narcotics in a motor vehicle according to authorities.

The passengers inside her car, Stanley M. Hood, 39, of Montague and Tylor S. Vandien, 22, of Green Pond were charged with possession of cocaine.

Police transported the suspects to the Passaic County Jail for processing.

These are mere allegations lodged against these suspects.

They are consider innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
