Warrants Issued for Four Shooting Suspects in Separate Incidents in Newark

Police in Newark are reporting that arrest warrants have been issued for four men in separate shooting incidents.

Police say Mr. Kamal Abdul-Maalik, 42, is wanted for a September 10, shooting at Frelinghuysen Avenue and Center Terrace, where police located a man who had been shot.

The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment and released. Abdul-Maalik, also known as Kamal Johnson, faces aggravated assault and weapons charges, including certain persons prohibited from weapon possession.

According to police, Mr. Michael Murdaugh, 21, and Mr. Rahim Harris, 41, are each being sought on weapons charges, criminal mischief and conspiracy in connection with a shooting on August 21, in the 400 block of South 10th Street according to police.

Responding officers located a vehicle damaged by gunfire in the area.

Police say Mr. Eddie White, 35, is wanted on charges of aggravated assault and weapons charges for a February 4, 2019 shooting in the area of North Munn and Tremont avenues.

No injuries have been reported, but detectives identified White as a suspect in this incident.
