Police are asking for the public’s help in locating Najeeh Green, 27, of Newark, wanted for an aggravated assault shooting that occurred on May 5th.
According to authorities, at approximately 10:55 p.m., police responded to Hayes Street, near Springfield Avenue, on reports of a man shot. Responding officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot injuries.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment.
Detectives investigating this incident developed sufficient evidence to secure a warrant for the arrest of Najeeh Green.
Police say Green 5’7” tall and 170 lbs., with a medium complexion, brown eyes and brown hair.
While police are actively searching for Green, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from our streets.
