Warrant Issued for Newark Man Wanted on Domestic Violence Charges

An arrest warrant has been issued for James Pittman, 48, of Newark, on a charge of terroristic threats under domestic violence laws in connection with an incident that occurred on Mar. 18th.

According to authorities, at approximately 6:30 p.m., police responded to a South Ward residence on a reported threat.

Upon arrival, officers learned Pittman threatened the life of a woman he knows.

Police described Pittman as 5’8” tall and 180 lbs., with brown eyes, black hair and a tattoo of a cross on both his left and right arms.

While police are actively searching for Pittman, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing him from the streets.

This investigation is ongoing.
