Authorities in Orange are on the search for a violent strong armed carjacking suspect responsible for an overnight incident in the city.
Police responded to the late night carjacking report that happened in the area of Alden Street and Bradford Street where officers arrived to the scene to find the victim who reported to them that at around 11:30 p.m., while waiting at a red light, a dark colored vehicle occupied by at least two male suspects crashed into their vehicle.
According to the victim, when they exited to assess the damage, one of the suspects immediately began to go on the attack, throwing the victim to the ground, jumping into the carjacked vehicle, then speeding away in the car.
The carjacked vehicle is being reported as a beige 4-door BMW X5 with a reported NJ license plate number "UFG-17B"
According tot he victim, the suspect never produced a weapon and there were no serious injuries.
Police are investigating.
