Police said that a distressing incident unfolded in Trenton on Tuesday evening when a violent shooting left one person severely injured.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office was promptly notified following the event, which took place around 6:55 p.m. in the 500 block of West State Street.
Upon receiving reports of gunfire, Trenton Police swiftly responded to the scene. There, they discovered a victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
In a critical effort to save the individual's life, officers administered CPR before the victim was urgently transported to a nearby hospital for advanced medical care.
The area was immediately cordoned off as detectives launched a comprehensive investigation, searching for potential suspects and gathering evidence to ascertain the motive behind the shooting.
As of now, the investigation remains active and ongoing, with no arrests reported yet.
