A NJ man is fighting for his life in a local hospital after an armed suspect shot him multiple times overnight.
The Mercer County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the shooting that happened in the vicinity of 12 Evans Avenue in Trenton.
In a preliminary investigation, police say the armed suspect approached the victim and began firing multiple.
About a half dozen bullets struck the victim in his chest.
He was transported to the regional medical center in Trenton and treated by doctors for severe injuries,
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
Police reported no other injuries.
