Authorities announce the arrest of a man accused of shooting a man to death last month in Millville.
According to police, on August 29, officers responded to 509 N. 4th Street shortly after 5 p.m., where Vernon Scurry Jr., 28, was found dead.
As a result of an ongoing investigation by the Cumberland County Prosecutor's Office and the Millville Police Department, Larry Bell Jr., 35, of Vineland was arrested Sunday, according to officials.
He is held in the Cumberland County Jail on a $750,000 full cash bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Bridgeton Thursday morning for his arraignment.
Authoritited have not released a motive for the shooting.
