Newark Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that resulted in property damage in the city's South Ward this evening.
Officers responded to the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard and West Alpine Street to investigate reports of a shooting around 8:25 p.m.
Upon arrival, police found multiple shell casings and two cars struck by bullets.
Officers searched the area and requested hospitals in the region to be on the lookout for possible walk-in victims.
There were no injuries reported.
