Police reported property damage in a shots-fired incident in a section of Newark's North Ward on Thursday evening.
It happened around 8:05 p.m. near 24 Trinton Terrace, where police responded to reports of shots fired at that location.
Upon arrival, police say several officers found shell casings and a car struck multiple times by bullets.
About a half-dozen shell casings were recovered, but police said no victims were located. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
