A serious single-vehicle crash involving an ejection occurred during the early morning hours of Monday on Route 24 in Millburn, prompting a large emergency response.
The crash happened in the westbound lanes just past the Short Hills Mall.
According to initial reports, two people and a dog were involved in the incident. One occupant was ejected from the vehicle, prompting incident commanders to request advanced life support.

Firefighters from Summit and Millburn responded to assist at the scene. Both injured occupants were transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
The condition of the victims has not been released.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
