Police in Bridgewater are currently investigating an incident where a vehicle went off the road and into a pond.
According to police, on August 26, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the Bridgewater Police Department was dispatched to Ardmare Park on a report of a vehicle in the Ardmare Park pond.
A gray Toyota Sienna driven by Julia P. Gomez of Somerset was traveling west on Old York Road when the vehicle left the roadway and subsequently crashed into the Ardmare Park pond, partially submerging it in the water.
Robert Wood Johnson Mobile Intensive Care Unit Medics arrived moments after the crash.
They waded into chest-high water and pulled Gomez from the vehicle. Gomez was then transported to Robert Wood Johnson for evaluation.
