UPDATE: Triple Shooting Under Investigation in South Toms River

Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and South Toms River Police Chief William Kosh announced that on Sunday at approximately 1:16 AM, South Toms River Police were dispatched to a borough residence for a report of a gunshot victim.

Police officials say it was determined that the victim was shot at a different location and ran to the residence for help.

According to police, the unidentified victim was treated at the scene and transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune.

During the course of the investigation, police say it was determined that two additional victims were transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River. Police say both arrived in separate personal vehicles.

It was confirmed that both victims suffered gunshot wounds from the same incident according to police.

The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Crime Scene Investigations Unit, Beachwood Police Department, and Pine Beach Police Department all assisted the investigation at the scene.
