UPDATE: Suspect Wanted for Gas Station Shooting That Injured One

Newark Police officials are reporting that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in a shooting that occurred on Saturday, December 8th.

According to a statement released by police, at approximately 2 a.m., police responded to the Sunoco Gas Station, located at 390 Washington Street, on a call of a shooting.

Police say a male was shot by the suspect inside the store’s mini-mart following a quarrel.

While detectives investigating this incident are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating him and removing him from Newark streets.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
