UPDATE: Shooting Injures 20, 22-Year-Old Men in Paterson

Passaic County authorities announced that at approximately 2:39 a.m. on July 5, 2021, members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 20-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Officials said while police were en route, a 22-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at the hospital seeking treatment for a non-fatal gunshot wound.

According to police, a preliminary investigation determined that the victims were in the area of Park Avenue and Madison Avenue when an unknown individual began shooting at them.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
