UPDATE: Search Underway for Suspect Who Shot Three People in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora announced that at approximately 5:42 p.m. on Tuesday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Street on a report of shotsfired.

Upon arrival, responding officers located an 18-year-old male, a 22-year-old and a 24-year-old male Paterson residents who each sustained non-fatal gunshot wounds.

Police say the three victims were transported to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center for treatment.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
