UPDATE: Pregnant Woman Injured in Paterson Shooting, Investigation Underway

A 26-year-old pregnant woman fell victim to a shooting incident late Sunday afternoon. TigerPassaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes has reported that local law enforcement responded to emergency calls at around 4:55 p.m., directing them to the intersection of Godwin Avenue and Rosa Parks Boulevard. 

Upon their arrival, Paterson Police Department officers discovered the pregnant victim, a resident of Paterson, who had sustained non-fatal gunshot injuries.  

She was promptly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for the urgent care required by her condition.

Shooting Authorities were also able to identify a potential crime scene in the vicinity of the shooting.

As the investigation continues, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has made an appeal to the public for any information related to the incident.
