Newark Police request the publics' help in identifying a male suspect in connection with a restaurant shooting that occurred on Wednesday, August 5.
Just before 9:30 p.m., a male entered Royal Fried Chicken, located at 236 South Orange Avenue, and shot a worker following a quarrel.
The suspect then fled on foot, heading north on Bergen Street. The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the publics' help in quickly identifying the suspect as part of the investigation.
The suspect is described as wearing a black T-shirt, dark-colored shorts, red sneakers and carrying a gray and black checkered backpack.
Police in Newark urge anyone with information about this suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
