UPDATE: Police Search for Newark Crawford Street Shooting Suspect

Police in Newark requests the public’s assistance in identifying a male suspect wanted for questioning in a shooting that occurred on Sunday, January 12.

Police say shortly after 8:30 p.m., police responded to 70 Crawford Street on a call of shots fired.

A male fired a handgun at another man following a quarrel.

Police say no injuries have been reported, but police located a parked vehicle that was damaged by gunfire following this incident.

The suspect fled in a gray Dodge Stratus bearing a temporary license plate.

The suspect vehicle has heavy damage to the front bumper, driver’s side rear door and passenger side.

Detectives investigating this incident obtained a photo of the suspect via his Instagram account, bearing the label “humbletilldeath_”.

Police say they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of this investigation.
