UPDATE: Police Release Photos of Vehicle Wanted in Connection with Shooting That Injured 6-Year-Old

Police in Newark are urgently seeking public’s assistance in locating a vehicle wanted in connection with the shooting of a 6-year old boy and two adults on Saturday, July 8.

Authoritites said the vehicle was last observed traveling southbound on 2nd Street from Central Avenue.

The shooting occurred approximately 5:45 p.m., at Central Avenue and 1st Street sending police to the area where they located the child and two other victims.

The victims were transported to University Hospital with each is listed in stable condition.

Mayor Ras J. Baraka and Director Ambrose announced up to a $10,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for this shooting.
