UPDATE: Police Investigate Shooting in Passaic That Left One Man Injured

Authorities are investigating a shooting that left a 27-year-old man wounded in the early morning hours of June 28 in the City of Passaic.
 According to a statement released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, officers from the Passaic Police Department responded to reports of gunfire around 3:26 a.m. near the intersection of Third Street and Essex Street. 

 

At the scene, investigators located evidence indicating a possible shooting had occurred.

 

Shortly after the response, officers were notified that a male victim had arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center seeking treatment for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. 

 

The victim is a 27-year-old resident of Passaic, officials said.

 

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Authorities have not yet made any arrests or identified any suspects.
