Police have identified last night’s shooting victim as a 22-year-old city man, police said.
At approximately 11:36 p.m., police responded to Ercel Webb Park last night for a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police found that a 22-year-old city resident had been shot multiple times..
The unidentified victim said he was at the park when a male dressed male dressed all in black walked behind him and shot him multiple times.
The armed man was last seen fleeing south toward Communipaw Avenue.
The city man was transported to Jersey City Medical Center - Barnabas Health with life threatening injuries.
However, police said victim is in stable condition as earlier today
Police recovered six shell casings at the scene.
