UPDATE: Police Identify 13-Year-Old who Made Threat Against Linden Middle School

Detectives have identified a 13-year-old Linden boy responsible for making threats against a Middle School.

According to Linden Police officials, The threat was posted on Snapchat, and is believed to be related to a similar threat made on Friday.

"Each and every day parents trust us to protect the most valuable people in their lives, and we do not take that responsibility lightly," said Police Chief Dave Hart.

"Any threat to our students, faculty, or staff will be thoroughly investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent."

School officials have confirmed that the student has been suspended, however, out of an abundance of caution there will be an increased police presence at the school throughout the day.

The incident remains under investigation by the Linden Police Juvenile Aid Bureau, and anyone with information is urged to contact Det. Steve Zevlikaris at (908) 474-8520.
