Newark police are seeking the public’s help identifying an armed suspect and several other individuals connected to a shooting that wounded a man in the city’s North Ward on June 8.

According to Newark officials, the shooting occurred at approximately 7:11 p.m. near the intersection of 4th Street and Park Avenue.
Responding officers canvassed the area and recovered three 9mm shell casings and one live round from the scene as part of the ongoing investigation.

Investigators later responded to University Hospital, where the victim reported that he had been shot in the hip following an argument with the armed suspect.
Authorities have released images of the suspect and several individuals who may have information related to the incident.
Detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
