Officials are reporting serious injuries for a man struck by a car in a Newark North North Ward neighborhood on Sunday morning.
According to police, at approximately 2 a.m., residents dialed 911 after seeing a man lying in the street on Mount Prospect Avenue.
EMS arrived and transported the man, around 30-years-old, to University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.
