Passaic County officials announce that at approximately 8:18 p.m. on December 2, members of the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of 661 East 24th Street, in Paterson, on a report of a shooting.
According to officials, officers located Jasmin Wel, 25, of Paterson, on their arrival.
Officials said that Ms. Wel had sustained gunshot wounds and was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, Paterson.
According to county officials, Ms. Wel was pronounced deceased at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. Detectives located a suspected crime scene outside 661 East 24th Street, Paterson.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
