Authorities are investigating an early morning shooting that left a city man injured on Saturday, August 24.
According to information released by Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-in-Charge Patrick Murray, officers responded at approximately 5:49 a.m. to the area of Putnam Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard after receiving reports of gunfire.
Police located a 37-year-old Paterson resident suffering from non-fatal gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported by ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment.
Detectives identified a potential crime scene in the neighborhood, but officials said the investigation remains active and ongoing.
