UPDATE: Newark Community Crime Stopper Tips Identify Wells Fargo Bank Robbery Suspect

Authorities in Newark issued a warrant for the arrest of Mr. Jahod Dennis a.k.a, Jahod Hughley, 32, of Newark in connection with a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, October 17th.

Police say at approximately 12:30 p.m., a male suspect entered Wells Fargo Bank located at 765 Broad Street and passed a note to a teller, demanding cash and threatening to detonate an explosive.

Authorities said the teller complied and the suspect fled with the bank’s cash, heading south on Broad Street toward West Market Street.

Detectives investigating this incident received numerous Crime Stopper tips identifying the suspect as Jahod Dennis.

Police issued a warrant for Dennis’ arrest on charges of Robbery and Terroristic Threats.
