UPDATE: Food to Fill More Than Two Dozen Thanksgiving Donation Bags Collected, Filled by Kearny Girl Scouts

Kearny

Officials at the Kearny Girls Scouts are announcing success after a donation drive ended with their members assisting more than two dozen less fortunate people in the region for the holidays.

According to Girl Scout officials, on Monday, six of their nine girls from Girl Scouts Troop 10642, brought their Thanksgiving Drive donations announced multiple times on RLS Metro Breaking News 10 a.m. community section of our Facebook page to the First Presbyterian Church in Kearny.

Officials told RLS Media that with the donations delivered by so many gracious people around Hudson and Essex County, the girls were able to fill 26 Thanksgiving bags for those that are on their list and then used the remaining items to fill the food pantry's shelves.

Scouts told officials that they loved doing the food drive and hoped that they could to do it again next year.

Beautiful job and nice endeavor Kearny Girl Scouts!
