The Newark Principal that went missing from her Franklin Township address has been found this afternoon in a Pennsylvania hospital.
Details on how or why Mount Vernon Elementary School Principal's, Bertha Dyer, ended up at Nazareth Hospital in northeast Philadelphia is under investigation.
According to authorities, Franklin Township Police Department responded to Hawks Head Way in the Somerset section of the Township Wednesday for a report of a missing person.
At the home, officers met with the Edna Randolph who advised that she wished to report her sister Bertha S. Dyer missing.
Ms. Randolph stated that her sister was last seen on August 30th at approximately 3 p.m. at the Mt. Vernon Elementary School in Newark, where she is the principal.
Ms. Dyer was scheduled for multiple meetings on Wednesday that she did not attend. This prompted a family friend to contact Ms. Randolph about Bertha’s whereabouts.
Bertha Dyer was described as a 68-year-old woman, approximately 5 foot 4 inches tall. She is known to operate a white 2011 Toyota 4Runner bearing NJ registration U79GXM.
