Authorities in Mercer County announced that the Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating an overnight shooting homicide in the city.
Mercer County Prosecutor Janetta D. Marbrey stated that at approximately 8:52 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, Trenton police were dispatched to the 100 block of Passiac Street on a shooting in progress.
Four shooting victims were located at the scene, three adult males and a 16-year-old female, according to Mercer County officials.
MCPO officials say that all were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where Karan Hunter, 24, was pronounced dead a short time later.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victims were standing outside on Passaic Street when shots were fired at them from a vehicle that pulled up, stopped, then fled the scene, MCPO officials stated.
Mercer County officials said no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
