Seven Shot in Two Separate Incidents in Trenton; One Confirmed Dead

At least seven people were shot in two separate incidents in Trenton’s West Ward on Thursday, with one victim succumbing to their injuries, according to information released by Trenton Police.

The first shooting occurred just after noon on Jarvis Place, where two individuals were struck by gunfire.

Emergency responders arrived quickly and transported both victims to Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Their current conditions have not been released.

Later in the evening, around 9 p.m., gunfire erupted again—this time in the 100 block of Passaic Street near Calhoun Street.

Responding officers discovered multiple victims at the scene. Four people were rushed to the hospital by ambulance, while a fifth victim was taken by private vehicle.

Authorities later confirmed that one of the victims from this second shooting died as a result of their injuries.

Investigators recovered several shell casings from the sidewalk and roadway on Passaic Street.

Crime scene detectives worked into the night, placing evidence markers and documenting the scene.

No arrests have been announced in connection with either shooting, and the conditions of the surviving victims remain unknown.
