UPDATE: Man Killed in Camden Double Shooting

By: Jackie Amorine  Detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a 39-year-old man on Monday evening, as well as the shooting of a second man in Camden City, reported Camden County Prosecutor Grace C. MacAulay and Camden County Police Chief Gabriel Rodriguez.

According to a statement released by officials, on Monday, November 14, 2022, at approximately 11:50 p.m., Camden County Police Department received a ShotSpotter Activation for shots fired at the 1100 block of Thurman Street in Camden City.  

Officials said officers arrived on the scene and located a male victim, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, who was later identified as James Page Jr., 39, of Camden City.  

According to Camden County authorities, Page was pronounced deceased at 12:44 a.m. at Virtua Hospital.

Camden County Police were also notified of a second gunshot victim who arrived at Virtua Hospital.  

The 36-year-old male victim is currently in stable condition.

This investigation is active and ongoing.
