UPDATE: Man, 19, Critical in Paterson Shooting

Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 5:24 p.m.,  members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Jefferson Street and Garfield Avenue in Paterson on a report of shots fired.

Upon arrival, responding officers located the victim, a 19-year-old male Paterson resident.

The victim was transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for non-fatal gunshot wounds.

The victim is in critical condition according to authorities. 

Officers located the crime scene in the area of Jefferson Street and Garfield Avenue. 

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
