UPDATE: Linden Police Release Surveillance Video of Hit-and-Run Crash That Critically Injured Woman

A surveillance video released Tuesday evening shows a vehicle wanted in connection with a hit-and-run crash that critically injured a Fanwood woman Sunday morning‬.

According to authorities, emergency responders rushed to the intersection of East St. Georges and Wood avenues after they received reports of an injured person sometime around 2 a.m.

Emergency crews arrived at the scene and found a 35-year-old Fanwood woman severely injured, unconscious and laying on the ground at that location.

Officials say the victim was transported to Newark University Hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

Police described the suspect vehicle as a red 2014-2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, possibly with tinted windows and a sunroof. Officials believe the vehicle may have front end damage, particularly to the lower grill area.
