Authorities in Passaic County announced that at approximately 6:25 p.m. on November 2, the Paterson Police Department responded to the area of Matlock Street and Temple Street on a report of a shooting.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes stated that police located a juvenile victim suffering from a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The victim was transported via ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for treatment, PCPO officials say.
According to Passaic County officials, police were able to locate a potential crime scene in the area.
The investigation remains active and ongoing, Passaic County officials said. More information will be released once it becomes available.
