Police said that on Saturday, at 6:08 p.m., the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle crash involving a pedal cyclist at the intersection of Fulton St. and 3rd St.
Police said Ms. Maria A. Toribio, 22, of Bridgewater, was operating a 2021 GMC Sierra pickup truck and was traveling north on Fulton St. when she struck a female juvenile pedal cyclist in the intersection of Fulton and 3rd streets.
According to police, the victim was transported to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital Somerset, where she was pronounced deceased.
This crash is still under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau and the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office.
