A Bayonne man has been charged with attempted murder after shooting his estranged wife eight times inside her Jersey City home after she files for divorce.
Today, 32-year-old Marc Harrison appeared in court via video link from Hudson County jail in Kearny.
Yesterday police responded to the victim's Bartholdi Avenue home around 8 a.m., to find her lying on the floor, bleeding from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
Harrison was taken into custody at the home, where according to officials a weapon was recovered.
The victim, a mother of three, was transported to Jersey City Medical Center-Barnabas Health where she remains in critical condition as of today.
Harrison was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of hollow-point bullets and additional weapons offenses related to a 9mm Smith and Wesson handgun, including possession of a firearm by a felon.
