Hospital officials contacted police shortly before 5 p.m. when a male entered the emergency department bleeding from a gunshot wound.
According to preliminary reports, after police spoke to the victim, it was revealed that the victim reportedly came under attack in the 200 block of South 9th Street in proximity to Marion P. Thomas Charter School -the old Chad School building- before arriving at the hospital.
