UPDATE: Gunfire Strikes 55-Year-Old Man in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announce that at approximately 12:50, p.m.Sunday afternoon, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to a residence on East 30th Street Paterson, on a report of a person who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.

Units arriving at the scene Upon located a 55-year-old male Paterson resident who sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.

EMS rushed the victim to Saint Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson for treatment.

Police say based on the initial investigation the victim had suffered the non-fatal gunshot wound at approximately 3:30, a.m., in the area of East 26th Street.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
