UPDATE: Gunfire Critically Injures 27-Year-Old East Orange Man in Paterson

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Troy Oswald announced that at approximately, 1:09 a.m., members of the Paterson Police Department while on patrol, responded to the area of Getty Avenue and Hemlock Street after hearing multiple shots fired.

Officials say upon arrival the police found a 27-year-old male East Orange resident located in a building on Getty Avenue.

The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was immediately transported to St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson and is in critical condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
