A school bus occupied by eight people - seven children and female driver - caught fire as it was heading south on the Garden State Parkway near Exit 140 in Union.
According to State Police spokesman Sgt. 1st Class Gregory Williams, the seven children
from Mount Carmel Guild Academy in West Orange, and the driver all managed to evacuate the bus safely when the bus started smoking.
One child was reportedly treated for breathing issues.
The incident remains under investigation.
