A $250,000.00 warrant has been issued for Shyteisha McCargo, 23, in connection with a shooting overnight that RLS Metro reported earlier in the day.
According to police at approximately 12:56 a.m., Newark Police responded to a call of a gunshot victim near the intersection of Central Avenue and 4th Street, outside of a Dominoes Pizza restaurant.
The victim, a 32-year old male, who was involved in a dispute with the suspect prior to the shooting, was transported to University Hospital suffering serious injuries.
Following an intense investigation, detectives determined that Shyteisha McCargo is a suspect in the shooting.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, we seek the public’s assistance in quickly locating and removing her from our streets.
This investigation is active and ongoing.
There are mere accusations lodged against McCargo. She is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law when she is apprehended or surrenders to authorities.
