A male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries after being struck by a vehicle on a busy roadway in Bergen County Sunday night.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the southbound lanes of NJ-17 near 1275 to investigate reports of an injured male.
Crews arrived and found a severely injured unidentified male struck by a vehicle in the left lane of the roadway.
Medical personnel administered CPR to the unconscious and unresponsive victim, who was pronounced dead.
Police closed a section of NJ-17 at Spring Street for the investigation.
No other injuries were reported.
