UPDATE: Elizabeth Police Release Description of Vehicle Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run

Police Wednesday asked the public for help in their search for a hit-and-run driver who killed a female on Thanksgiving.

According to police, the vehicle is described as a 2003 to 2005 Nissan Murano, dark in color, similar to the vehicle in the photo. Officials say the vehicle may have damage on the lower front of the vehicle.

Police say on Nov. 22nd, police were called to the vicinity of Cherry and Murray street at approximately 10 p.m. after they received reports of an injured person.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene and found the severely injured victim lying on the ground. The woman was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

The incident remains under investigation.

The identity of the victim has not been released and only been reported as a female.
