Authorities in Union Township are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a driver early Sunday morning along Route 22.
According to officials, the incident occurred at approximately 2:58 a.m. on March 29, 2026, on Route 22 East near Highland Avenue.
Preliminary information indicates the driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was traveling eastbound when he lost control and struck a telephone pole.
The impact proved fatal, and the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under active investigation by the Township of Union Police Department.
