UPDATE: Authorities Identify Livingston Man Struck, Killed by Vehicle in Union

Authorities have identified the 68-year-old Livingston man struck and killed by a vehicle in Union over the weekend.

According to authorities police, officers responded to the 400 block of Chestnut Street just before 7:30 Saturday evening for a report of an accident.

Upon arrival, officers found Victor Alarcon, of Livingston, suffering severe injuries after a Jeep, driven by a Union resident, struck him.

According to Natalie Pineiro, township spokesperson, Alarcon was transported to University Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Jeep remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.

The incident remains under investigation.
