Police in Hoboken are on the search for a suspect who shot an Amazon employee after he exited the Monroe Street warehouse on Sunday morning to smoke a cigarette.
According to police, gunfire rang at approximately 2:37 a.m., sending the Hoboken Police Department to the scene to investigate.
When police officers arrived, they immediately provided aid to the severely injured worker before he was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.
Police say the victim is currently listed as critical but stable.
The Hoboken Police are actively investigating this incident, which appears to be a targeted shooting.
Police officials said the latest shooting is a spate of shootings in the area.
