Police in Clark are searching for the driver of a car that fatally struck a pedestrian then fled the scene Tuesday morning.
According to township officials, Mr. James B. Leinbach, 82, of Clark was crossing Raritan Road at the intersection of the Clarkton Shopping Center shortly before 6:00 a.m. when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle heading east on Raritan Road.
Offcials said the victim lived in a nearby apartment complex and usually crossed the intersection each morning to patronize a coffee shop.
The Union County Homicide Task Force were notified to assist in the investigation.
